Should I play guitar?

I really love music and I am fairly good at it, not to sound bragging in any way. I learn fast and I love it and I never ease up or give up. True I can't sing but I taught myself to play piano and harmonica and my grandpa taugh me accordion and I was in band playing flute and excelled fast. I always wanted to play guitar and I got a job and have $1100 saved up and I want to buy an acoustic guitar for a beginner, not something completely advanced or crappy. I was wondering if it's worth it, what model or type I should buy and how much it would cost. Also, I might be able to take music lessons (which would be my first ones yet).
