What type of harmonica should i use for playing with an open G tuned guitar?

By "type," I mean what key. I've started getting into blues guitar playing, so I thought it would be cool to get a harmonica. The reason I'm asking is because I've seen people use harmonicas in D to go with an open G tuned guitar, and I want to get it clear. Thanks guys!
